Search for design similarity with Acsepto

Welcome to Acsepto.
When examining a design, you need to check whether similar ones already exist. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to perform a design examination using the Acsepto module in Optonum.
To open a design for examination, you can use the Find Design feature. It allows you search across the design database. In this example, we’ll search for a pending design, view its details, and create an examination.
Start by selecting Find a Design. You’ll be redirected to the search page. Here, you can search a design using various filters. For this example, we’ll search using the Design application number. Select the design. You’re now on the design page, organized into different sections.
The design details section, including dates and customer information. If previous examinations have already been conducted, you may reopen these or check previously selected results. The article images section, in which you may select the pictures presenting a perspective view to be used for image recognition, which you can zoom if needed. And the Locarno classifications section.
Let’s focus on this last part.
If the applicant entered a Locarno code during its application, it appears here. The get prediction button is the prediction tool which analyses the main image and suggests relevant Locarno codes. Click a suggestion to add it. You can also search manually on the right under Locarno Classification by expanding the corresponding class, or by typing a term. You can reset the search if needed. You can remove classes. Once your codes are selected, launch the examination. Please note that your design may have several articles, they each come with a title, a series of pictures and a specific Locarno coding.
Click Create. You land on the scope tab. This tab allows you to input criterias such as dates, maximum results and statuses. Then enter the Search Criteria tab. You’ll see the article main view, and search options: You can either enter a question to perform a verbal search on similar design titles. The article name here is added by default. You can adjust the article view if needed. You can add again Locarno codes to your search.
You can save or clone your search. Click Execute to run it.
A list of similar design article results appears. Sort them using your criteria. You can adjust the grid layout, using either a list or a mosaic view.
Select the relevant views. Zoom on the pictures or Hover over a result to view details like application type, status, and application date. Selected articles are highlighted. You can filter results to show only those matching your Locarno codes and hide the image results if you have already reviewed them all.
Once your search is complete, click Complete and confirm the pop-up.
